About Us and Location Map

Talking Rock Creek Properties is spread over 5500 acres in 3 Georgia counties, (Gordon, Gilmer, & Murray) Talking Rock Creek Resort is a beautiful and yet affordable gated community situated a little over an hour north of Atlanta's perimeter. Originally developed in the early 1980s, TRCRA, spread over 120 miles of roadway, still has hundreds of large 1-6 acre lots rising to elevations of as much as 1640 feet on which to build your mountain dream home. Bordered on one side by several miles of kayaking friendly Talking Rock Creek, TRCRA is just across the road from the beautiful, clear 3200 acre Carter's lake. Bring your own boat, store it in our boat storage area, and you can be on Georgia's deepest lake in minutes to ski, fish, or just enjoy the coves and beaches of it's 62 miles of unspoiled shoreline. There are public access ramps and the Carter's lake marina also offers boat rental, cabin rental, and a seasonal restaurant. If you prefer to stay a little closer to home then TRCRA, with it's own 11 acre stocked fishing lake, swimming pools, tennis courts, mountain views, tumbling streams, hiking trail, and quiet forests offers the seclusion and privacy that's often missing from many overdeveloped mountain communities. A mountain retreat that's just a 30 minute drive from the shops and restaurants of Jasper and Ellijay and only an hour south of Chattanooga, TRCRA is a truly unique find. Come and visit us this weekend.

Near the Main Gate, TRCRA has a Recreation Center with a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball goal, covered pavilions, a gym, and a playground.
We also have another Pool/Tennis facility on the opposite side of the community.
Our Trout Lodge is a 2-story log cabin situated directly on Talking Rock Creek and serves as an event center (can be rented for private events) and a great place to swim or fish in the creek.
Our beautiful 11-acre lake has a picnic area, a covered pavilion, and plenty of fish for members to catch. Canoes and kayaks can be enjoyed here as well.
TRCRA has its own "Hidden Rocks" nature trail with streams, bridges, old growth pines and hardwoods, and some exercise stations for young and old alike that offer a nice, easy walk in the woods.
We have a 45-slip RV/Boat storage (rental) area available to members of TRCRA. It's near the Hwy 136 Main Gate.
